Build People and Sponsorships

Over the last two years, Build People have carefully chosen and worked closely with some really special people and events that symbolise or are in keeping with two key facets - Build People’s values, and Jo and Jeremy’s philanthropy based on personal experiences. We have a special interest in social issues such as mental health and wellbeing.

This has led us to working with some of the country’s greatest names and organisations across both sport and charities. We are immensely proud to speak of our close associations and sponsorships.

Fight for Life

In conjunction with D&L Events and in support of I Am Hope, Build People have been major sponsors of this event over the last two years, working alongside Dean Lonergan to promote and energise the event. Through Fight for Life we were exposed to the up and coming boxers fighting out of Peach Boxing as well as getting to know Mike King and his incredible work through I Am Hope.

What a woman!

NightMea Motu is trained by the incredible Isaac Peach and a key part of his Peach Boxing syndicate. Not only did Mea do the whole country proud by being the first woman to headline Fight For Life, she also won the IBF Super Bantamweight World Championship on the same evening.

Mea’s story fits beautifully with Build People’s message of self empowerment, and one of our key values of Living BIG (with Bravery, Integrity and Generosity).

We are pleased to introduce Mea, and her quite remarkable message of motivation and resilience to the business community. We welcome queries from companies interested in including Mea in their conferences or team building exercises.

Mea is NZ’s most talked about and topical female athlete. 3 years ago she stepped into a boxing gym to gain some confidence and is now a World Champion - so you can bet there’s a hell of a motivational and inspiring story there! Mea has a warm and engaging personality and true mana, bound to touch and motivate your entire team.
